Are you ready to lead teaching and learning across our school?
Lower Darwen Primary School is seeking to appoint an exceptional and ambitious Teaching & Learning Lead to drive forward high-quality pedagogy and secure strong outcomes for all pupils. This is a key leadership role within our 2-form entry primary school, offering the opportunity to influence practice across all phases and shape the future direction of teaching and learning. The successful candidate will:
• Lead and develop whole-school teaching and learning strategy
• Drive consistency of high-quality classroom practice
• Design and deliver a bespoke CPD programme
• Implement a robust monitoring and evaluation cycle
• Provide instructional coaching and mentoring to staff
• Line manage and develop middle leaders
• Contribute significantly to the School Improvement Plan
This is a high-impact role requiring credibility, resilience and a proven track record of improving teaching and learning. We are looking for someone who:
• Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations
• Has experience of leading teaching and learning or a core subject
• Can demonstrate impact on pupil outcomes
• Has strong skills in coaching, mentoring and staff development
• Is able to challenge and support colleagues effectively
• Is committed to inclusion and ensuring all pupils succeed
