Job Description
The Best Connection is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Class 2 Driver to join a well-established distribution business based in Goldthorpe (S72).
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced driver looking for ongoing work, consistent start times, and competitive pay. The role involves delivering kitchens and worktops to building sites, with handball responsibilities, including heavy lifting, therefore applicants must be physically fit and prepared for manual work.
About the Role
As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of kitchens and worktops to various customer locations and construction sites. You will represent the company professionally at all times and ensure products are delivered in good condition.
Your Duties Will Include:
- Driving a Class 2 vehicle to deliver kitchens and worktops
- Handballing goods, including heavy lifting
- Delivering to residential and building site locations
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Adhering to health & safety and driver regulations
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 1 year Class 2 driving experience
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy manual handling
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable and punctual
Additional Information
- Induction: Thursday 16th at 8:00am
- Early starts required (6:00am usual start time)
