Summary
We are looking for Early Years Apprentice to work at our Nursery. We have been providing childcare for 24 years in Padiham. You will need to be qualified to minimum level 2 in childcare and have completed your first year of training at college, or gained the relevant qualification (we will also consider anybody due to qualify in May 2026). You will get the opportunity to work with experienced staff, including level 4, 6 and qualified teachers.
The role will include teaching children, helping them to learn and develop. You will need to have an understanding of learning and development, The 3 i's, Cultural Capital and British Values. We use electronic learning journals so Parents can track their child's development throughout their progress. You will need to be motivated, enthusiastic and have a professional outlook to ensure that all our children are safe, in a caring secure environment helping the children learn and develop. You will also need to demonstrate an ability to teach, providing a calm and confident manner for groups of children.
30 to 35 hours per week depending on your circumstances. We cover your DBS, first aid and all relevant training with our inhouse training provider at site. You'll be based at: Padiwacks, 1 Wyre Street, Padiham, Burnley, BB12 8DF.
