We are seeking a Senior Water Engineer to join our team in a mobile role covering East Anglia, including postcodes CB, IP, NR, PE and surrounding areas.​

This is a varied, hands-on position delivering planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across commercial and domestic water systems.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced professional who can work confidently across water hygiene, water treatment and plumbing activities, ensuring client sites remain compliant with L8 ACOP legislation while maintaining high standards of service, safety and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on commercial and domestic water systems.

Carry out inspections, repairs, testing, troubleshooting and system adjustments in line with plumbing regulations and manufacturer guidance.

Complete reactive and planned disinfection works, including cold water tank/system and mains disinfection.

Undertake PPM water hygiene monitoring and inspection tasks using customer CAFM systems.

Survey, quote for and deliver remedial works related to water hygiene and water treatment.

Carry out pipework modifications, TMV installations, RPZ valve installation and commissioning, CWST bypassing and unvented hot water conversions.

Perform closed system works including sampling, dosing, flushing, acid descaling and inhibitor dosing.

Produce detailed reports and issue certification for all completed works.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Plumbing qualification to NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or equivalent.

Significant hands-on experience in plumbing or mechanical building services maintenance.

Proven expertise in maintaining and repairing plumbing systems and associated equipment.

Experience working within a facilities management environment.

Demonstrable experience delivering both reactive and planned preventative maintenance across commercial properties.

Experience installing and maintaining unvented hot water heaters (calorifiers), including inspection and cleaning.

Solid understanding of water regulations and their practical application.

Experience working in critical environments (preferred).

Full UK driving licence essential.
