This role is intended for experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations functional consultants who have operated at a strategic, business‑facing level on complex ERP programmes. Candidates whose experience is limited to narrow module configuration, purely technical delivery, or short‑term implementation roles without ownership of requirements, design assurance, testing and user adoption will not be a suitable match.
The role:
We are looking for a D365 F&O Functional Consultant to join us in a permanent, internal role to play a central part in modernising our core systems, data and ways of working, replacing a legacy platform with a unified Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management ERP, integrated with D365 CE, M‑Files and specialist ISV solutions.
This is an opportunity to:
- Be part of the core delivery team on a strategically critical ERP programme
- Act as a bridge between the business and our delivery partners
- Shape requirements, solution design, testing, adoption and continuous improvement
- Take real ownership of how D365 supports finance, property management, procurement and operations
You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, helping translate complex business needs into high‑quality functional designs, building a platform that genuinely works for the people who use it.
You'll be:
- Leading workshops to understand and validate business requirements
- Translating needs into user stories using Azure DevOps
- Acting as the functional interface between business teams and system integrators
- Reviewing and assuring functional designs to ensure they reflect true business intent
- Supporting data migration, integrations, testing (SIT/UAT), go‑live readiness and hypercare
- Playing a key role in training, adoption and long‑term optimisation of D365 F&O
- Becoming a trusted functional point of reference post go‑live
You'll bring:
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
- Confidence writing user stories and managing backlogs in Azure DevOps
- Strong understanding of finance and operational processes in an ERP context
- Experience supporting ERP implementations/major platform upgrades
- The ability to engage confidently with both technical teams and business leaders
