Summary
Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Full-Time & Part-Time Roles
Location: Southampton
Start Date: ASAP
Primary schools across Southampton are currently recruiting passionate and committed Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join their teams on both a full-time and part-time basis, with immediate starts available.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced LSAs as well as individuals looking to begin a rewarding career in education. You will play a key role in supporting pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing within a primary school setting.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 support and work with small groups of pupils
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Assist children with additional needs, including SEN
- Help create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
