Long Term Futures are working in partnership with a high-performing secondary school in Derby (DE1) to appoint a motivated and inspiring Science Teacher to join their successful Science department. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to pupils across KS3 and KS4 within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment. The school has high expectations, and a commitment to delivering a broad and engaging curriculum. You will be joining a collaborative department with a passion for raising attainment and supporting all learners to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Plan, assess, and track student progress in line with school policies
- Support students in developing scientific knowledge, curiosity, and practical skills
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
- Promote safeguarding, inclusion, and positive behaviour throughout the school
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge across Science (Biology, Chemistry or Physics specialism desirable)
- Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Passionate about inspiring young people and raising attainment
- A proactive team player committed to continuous improvement
