Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team to support pupils with SEND in our school. Required for 5 days a week from 8.30am – 3.30pm. Total hours are 32 hours 30 minutes per week, including supervising lunchtime and break duty, term time only. Job share considered
Main duties:
Ø To support SEN pupils in their learning and development, in small groups or one to one as directed, treating them with respect and consideration
Ø To support the teacher in the smooth and effective running of the class
Ø To consistently promote positive values, attitudes and behaviour in an inclusive, engaging environment
Ø To encourage the social and emotional development of pupils
Ø To help raise standards of achievement for all pupils, allowing all our children to flourish
Ø To encourage all pupils to participate in all aspects of school life
Ø To help pupils to become more independent
Ø To promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
Ø To ensure the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the midday break periods
Ø To engage with Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training opportunities to better support our all our pupils
Ø Supervision of pupils in the dining areas, playground or other parts of the school premises as directed
We value investment in our staff, so additional hours may be required for staff training opportunities throughout the year.
