Summary

Pinnacle Group are looking for an experienced Account Director to lead the delivery of the Affordable Housing management contract with Legal and General Affordable Homes, joining our Rental Homes team within the Affordable Housing Division. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for contract performance, client engagement and commercial delivery. Working closely with operational leads, asset management, mobilisation, finance and income recovery teams, you will ensure services are delivered in line with contractual requirements while driving continuous improvement and strong client outcomes.

Our Affordable Housing team manages a nationwide portfolio of new and existing homes, including affordable and social rent, shared ownership, and supported housing.
We deliver housing services on behalf of institutional investors, registered providers, and local authorities – combining commercial insight with a strong social purpose to support vibrant, inclusive communities.

The ideal candidatewill have significant senior‑level experience within Affordable Housing or large‑scale property management, with a clear track record of leading contract performance at a strategic level. You will be highly competent in KPI management, performance reporting and financial oversight, including P&L responsibility and monthly and quarterly reporting. Confident operating as the main escalation point for the client, you will bring strong stakeholder management skills, commercial awareness and the ability to set standards, drive accountability and maintain effective governance across a complex contract.

This is a 12‑month fixed‑term remote contract, with travel required to client sites in London and occasional national travel.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Key point of contact and dedicated resource to the client acting as the main point of contact for escalations, overseeing performance, working closely with the operational teams.
  • To present, lead and deliver performance contract meetings, reporting packs as required within the contracted terms with the client and be the key point of delivery, working with the operations team to complete the commercial objectives in a comprehensive manner.
  • To deliver quarterly KPI reporting packs and co-ordinate with the operations Teams to ensure all KPI’s are completed on time and to target.
  • To deliver weekly performance monitoring of compliance workstreams as set by the client and contract, working closely with the operations team.
  • Develop, promote and maintain strong relations with the client, both internal and external stakeholders.
  • To assist with internal budget setting across the business and financial management of the P&L, working alongside the dedicated Business Partner to Homes. To deliver the clients monthly financial reporting pack, ensuring full oversight of income and expenditure.
  • To set the standard with the operations team. To work closely with the mobilisation manager to onboard new schemes and the operation steam to effectively manage such new schemes efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.
  • To raise and monitor revenue streams within contractual agreements for services inclusive of monitoring and ensuring uplifts are increased when due.
  • To manage and complete monthly invoicing across the revenue streams and compile month end commentary as required.

Key requirements:

  • Proven senior‑level experience within Affordable Housing or large‑scale property management, with a strong track record of leading complex contracts.
  • Demonstrable expertise in KPI and performance management, including the ability to monitor, challenge and improve operational and compliance outcomes.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience of P&L ownership, budget setting, financial reporting and revenue management.
  • Credible client‑facing leadership skills, with experience acting as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders and managing contractual governance and escalations.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with operations, asset management, finance, mobilisation and income recovery teams to ensure aligned service delivery.
  • Confident, decisive leadership style, with the ability to set standards, hold teams to account and drive continuous improvement across a demanding contract environment.
