Summary

An East London based "Outstanding" Local Authority is looking for a Social or Senior Social Worker to join their Children with disabilities service. You will be working with children with a range of disabilities and will identify and assess levels of risk and need (within statutory frameworks) in often complex situation. This is a full-time and permanent position. You will be based in the office 3 times a week in Ilford and you will earn a salary of up to £55,300 per annum, plus a market supplement of £250 per month on top of your salary.

Experience of working with disabled children is not essential, but enthusiasm and willingness to learn this area of practice is essential. Experience of Child Protection, Children Looked After, Children in Need and Court work is preferred.

Your responsibilities:

  • Undertaking Assessments
  • Producing Court statements
  • Formulating and Implement Care Plans
  • Assess and Identify levels of risk

Requirements of you:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • A valid registration with Social Work England
  • Significant experience of working within Children and Families Teams
  • Experience of working within child protection and court work
  • Safeguarding/child protection experience
  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence
