We are seeking a Project Manager to deliver end-to-end project management services across a diverse portfolio of construction and facilities projects for Natural England under a government contract.​

This role will involve managing capital projects and MAC works across a broad estate, including laboratories, operational buildings, and farms and agricultural infrastructure.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced professional who is comfortable operating across multiple sites and stakeholders, with strong commercial, compliance, and delivery focus.​

The role covers the North Region, from Birmingham through to Scotland, and requires regular travel depending on workload.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver end-to-end project management across capital projects and MAC works for client and Natural England portfolios

Lead the tactical development and delivery of projects in line with commercial, operational, and client objectives

Identify and organically grow project opportunities within the account

Build and maintain strong relationships with the ISS Country Team, key accounts, global operations, and external customers

Hold P&L accountability aligned to country requirements

Develop delivery models and manage resources effectively across multiple projects

Ensure strong commercial governance, compliance, and risk management across all works

Manage supply chain performance and implement best-practice processes to maintain high service standards

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Proven experience working as a Project Manager within Construction or Facilities Management (government experience highly desirable)

Expertise in a Construction, Engineering, or Built Environment discipline (essential)

Educated to at least HNC level (or equivalent) in a technical or management-related discipline

Demonstrable experience managing projects or programmes valued at £1–2 million or above

Strong track record in Health & Safety management and regulatory compliance

Experience in cost estimation and producing high-quality tender submissions

Evidence of successfully leading, supporting, and coaching teams to deliver high-quality outcomes

Target-driven mindset with a strong focus on quality, delivery standards, and continuous improvement

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Monday.com

Confident using PDAs and mobile device software and applications

NEBOSH, IOSH, and SMSTS qualifications (or actively working towards)

Full UK driving licence

Ability to successfully obtain BPSS clearance
