CHILDCARE SESSIONAL WORKER
Hourly rate: National Minimum Wage (age/qualification bar applies)
Up to £14.58/hour inclusive of holiday pay (depending on age/qualification/experience)
About the Role
Childcare Sessional Workers play an important role in helping us deliver flexible, high‑quality childcare across our services, which include a full day care nursery, six Out of School Clubs, and two Breakfast Clubs.
Sessional hours vary and are offered in line with both the needs of the organisation and the availability of the individual. Shifts may range from short sessions to full‑time cover. We currently have a number of opportunities to support our teams during staff holidays and absences.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from people with experience of working with children, as well as those who are motivated to enter the childcare profession. What matters most is your commitment, your willingness to learn, and your ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues.
This role offers a flexible way to gain experience across a range of childcare environments, including nursery, breakfast clubs, and out‑of‑school care. It is an ideal stepping stone for anyone considering further study, qualifications, or a long‑term career in early learning and childcare.
✔️ Eligibility Requirements
All applicants must be able to:
Register at Support Worker level with the Scottish Social Services Council.
Become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme.
Work in the UK and have the relevant documents to prove this.
