Summary
Lead Youth Worker - 25 Hours - Salary: £16.57 per hour
Our Charity
The Phoenix Youth Project delivers youth work services to hundreds of young people in Cleator Moor and Frizington. You will work out of Cleator Moor Youth Centre and line manage two youth workers, supported by our Project Director. You will lead on the planning and delivery of youth work sessions that are fun, developmental and that discuss the issues that affect young people's lives. You will build up relationships and be a role model to our young people, whilst also challenging negative behaviours and attitudes. In school holidays you will take part in trips, residentials and other fun activities with young people.

When
The roles will involve daytime office shifts in our Cleator Moor office, three evening youth work sessions each week in Cleator Moor and very occasional weekends to meet the needs of local young people and our local communities.
The extras
We don't expect you to have youth work qualifications but ideally you have worked with young people before and/or had a leadership role. Equally we are just as interested in your inter personal skills and positive attitude. This post is a regulated activity and subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure in the event of being offered this position, costs of which will be paid for by the charity.
