Nursery Practitioner – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for Nursery Practitioners who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different early years settings. You will be supporting children in Enfield and the surrounding areas, helping them learn, play, and thrive in safe, nurturing environments.
Duties as Nursery Practitioner:
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age‑appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Assist with the care, supervision, and well‑being of children aged 0–5
- Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
- Encourage children’s social, emotional, and physical development
- Contribute to observations and learning records when required
- Support children with personal care needs where necessary
- Work collaboratively with early years teams and contribute to daily routines during longer‑term placements
Ideal Nursery Practitioner:
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early years environment
- Understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development
- Ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with children
- Patience, creativity, and strong communication skills
- Adaptable across different settings, routines, and age groups
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development
