JOB PURPOSE: Support outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment by maintaining safe, professional art & media environments.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONISIBILITIES:

* Create a positive and supportive learning environment that motivates students to achieve their full potential.
* Safely demonstrate and operate the studio and workshop environments
* Ensure Health & Safety compliance is met throughout Art & Media
* Maintain equipment & resources
* Be responsible for ordering resources and keeping track of spend
* Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in art/design/media
* Build positive relationships with students
* Be available for open evenings in order to support staff delivering activities with learners




To fulfil the role of Art & MediaTechnician you will have:

* Level 3 Art or Media qualification
* Level 2 – Maths & English
* Experience in art/media environment as a technician, support assistant or lecturer/demonstrator
* Relevant industrial experience
