Summary
Ready help us to make a real difference for families, children, and young people in Hertfordshire? We’re looking for a creative, energetic Communications Support Officer to help drive our public health nursing message across digital and print channels.
You’ll be at the heart of our communications; managing social media, websites, newsletters, and campaigns. Build strong connections between the Trust, staff, service users, and local communities. Work with partnership with One YMCA and Hertfordshire County Council Public Health and Hertfordshire Schools to ensure our messages reach the families and young people and professionals.
What you’ll bring:
• A degree in communications, PR, journalism, marketing, or equivalent experience
• Proven skills in digital communications, campaign delivery, and relationship building
• Outstanding written and verbal communication
• Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to thrive under pressure

The post-holder will:
• Support and develop the Trust’s public health nursing presence online, social media and other digital or in-print communication, through effective market research, communications strategy and engagement with external stakeholders and internal teams.
• Support the development of up-to-date, accessible and informative content on public health nursing services and activities and public health information on the websitewww.hct.nhs.ukand health for under 5s website.
• Support with the development and implementation of review, a social media strategy for the trust’s public health nursing teams, which is in line with service specifications and the trust’s corporate policies and approaches.
• Oversee critical communication with key stakeholders including schools, charities, family centres, early education and daycare providers, and other health providers.
· plan, organise, and manage their own workload effectively to deliver and maintain an efficient service, keeping to timescales in an environment where priorities frequently change.
· develop, implement, and maintain effective systems and processes for effective administrative support, maximising use of technology.

The post holder will support the delivery of public health nursing projects andsupport[MH1] the strategic direction of this important service for the trust, helping ensure key public health messages reach the right audience at the right time.
This includes managing and developing social media channel(s), websites including the public health nursing service pages onwww.hct.nhs.ukand health for under 5s website, intranet pages and staff communications, e-newsletters, leaflets/letters and other associated external and internal communications material, as well as supporting campaigns.
Ensuring tasks are planned, managed, and delivered effectively for the public health nursing service and engaging with key stakeholders, particularly partners involved in providing Family Centre Services such as One YMCA and Hertfordshire County Council.
The officer will be a key point of contact for the service, creating links between the trust, staff, service users and local communities and stakeholders. They will be able to work well under pressure and must have a passion for supporting staff to communicate about the ways they are making a real difference to the lives and wellbeing of families, children and young people in Hertfordshire.
