Monday-Thursday 1.30pm-6.30pm
April Start All‑Year‑Round Temp to Perm
£16.86 per hour

Are you someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in keeping spaces safe and tidy, and thrives in a supportive team? A large, well‑established all‑through school in Small Heath is looking for a committed Premises Assistant to join their friendly site team this April.

This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a stable, welcoming environment where the Premises Manager is known for being encouraging, organised and genuinely invested in helping new staff succeed.

The Role

As a key member of the premises team, you'll help ensure the school remains secure, well‑maintained and ready for pupils aged 3-18 every day. Your duties will include:
- Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs
- Supporting with site security, including end‑of‑day lock‑up
- Preparing rooms, furniture and equipment for school events
- Assisting the Premises Manager with daily operational tasks
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety across the site

If you enjoy varied, hands‑on work and like being part of a busy school community, this role will suit you perfectly.

What You'll Need
- Experience in a maintenance, caretaking or handyman role
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- A proactive, reliable approach and strong teamwork skills
- Confidence working independently and following clear instructions
