Who we are looking for:

Unistrut is looking for 2 Assembly Operatives to support our continued growth.

What you’ll do:

- Complete assembly of component parts - hand assembly and bagging operations working to standard times for each job
- Ensure ‘first off’ is authorised prior to completion of the job
- Continuous quality checking of components whilst completing jobs
- Operate automated and/or manual assembly equipment
- Machine operation and maintenance of equipment used within the Assembly Department e.g. bagging machine (including setting of the machine), band saw, manual press etc.
- Maintain the visual management system for own jobs whilst working
- Visually inspect components meet quality standards
- Assemble Flexicon Special Orders (FSOs), this includes measuring and cutting conduit, completing the required documentation and following the FSO assembly plan
- Ensure components are assembled within agreed timescales
- Follow all appropriate standard operating procedures
- Produce samples for customers
- Ensure housekeeping is maintained to a high standard within own work area and the Department generally
- Take part in 5S activities (Sort, Set in order, Shine/Clean, Standardise and Sustain)
- Comply with all health and safety requirements and risk assessments
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for the task in-hand
- Ensure work area is kept clean and tidy at all times
- Any other duties of a similar nature as directed by your line manager.

- Demonstrated ability to use both English language and mathematics
- Experience in a manufacturing or picking environment
- Able to work as part of a team and as an individual
- Motivation to beat targets safely and required quality standards
- Ability to comply with and promote Atkore’s ATIRE and SQDC value
