Holistic Care Scotland are a family run home care provider based in Aberdeenshire who are registered to support both adults and children within their own homes.
At Holistic Care Scotland we are one of the very few care providers in the North East of Scotland that provides support to our clients for no less than 1 Hour per visit as we believe providing a high quality of person centred care and support takes time and helps to build strong professional relationships with our clients. This ensures our clients receive the highest level of support within their own homes and out in the community.
Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. This role is ideal for those passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and making a positive difference in the lives of clients you would be supporting. The position offers an opportunity to work in a rewarding environment within the local community supporting clients with daily activities and health needs. Applicants should be committed to promoting independence, dignity, and well-being for those under their care.
Responsibilities
Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Supporting mobility and providing assistance with walking or transfers using proper techniques and equipment
Preparing nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
Administering medication as prescribed and maintaining accurate records of medication schedules
Engaging clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
Providing companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
Assisting with light housekeeping duties including laundry, cleaning, and organisation of living spaces
Managing behavioural challenges associated with conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease through compassionate care and behaviour management techniques
Driving clients to appointments or social activities safely when required
Responding promptly to emergencies by applying first aid procedures when necessary
Qualifications
Experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is highly desirable but not essential as full training will be provided but a caring nature is a must.
Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care is preferred however full training is provided
Relevant certifications such as first aid training are advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage medication schedules accurately
Excellent communication skills and a caring attitude towards clients of all ages, including children when applicable
Valid driving licence preferred for transportation duties
Basic cooking skills for meal preparation tailored to individual needs
Experience in behaviour management techniques for clients with cognitive impairments is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
This role is vital in supporting vulnerable individuals within their homes. We welcome applicants who demonstrate empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others. All positions are paid in accordance with employment standards.
We are currently recruiting for Home Care Workers to work within the Banchory area. Currently we have positions available for both full time and part time home care workers which would include Morning, evening and weekend working.
Weekly Paid - £13.45 - £16PH
Millage Allowance - 0.40p per mile
