Summary
Job Purpose:
To assist qualified electricians with the installation of electrical containment systems, including cable trays, trunking, and conduit, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the installation of cable tray and ladder rack systems
Support the installation of electrical containment including conduit and trunking
Measure, cut, and assemble containment systems as directed
Fix brackets, supports, and containment to walls and ceilings
Assist with cable pulling and routing within installed tray systems
Operate hand and power tools safely (drills, grinders, saws)
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Follow site health & safety procedures at all times
Work from basic drawings and follow instructions from electricians or supervisors
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in construction or electrical work (preferred)
Basic knowledge of electrical containment systems
Ability to use hand and power tools
Good understanding of site safety practices
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
Qualifications:
Valid CSCS/ECS Card (required)
Manual Handling (preferred)
Working at Height (preferred)
Personal Attributes:
Reliable and punctual
Hard-working with a positive attitude
Willingness to learn and develop skills
Good communication skills
Working Conditions:
Site-based role (indoor and outdoor environments)
May involve working at height (ladders, scaffolding, MEWPs)
Physically demanding tasks including lifting and carrying materials
