About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Leisure Attendant to join our team at Macdonald Linden Hall. In this role, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our Leisure & Spa facilities, maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the coordination and smooth running of the Leisure & Spa facility on a daily basis
Ensure all areas operate in accordance with current Health & Safety legislation and company standards
Maintain high presentation standards across all leisure areas before and during opening hours
Support Managers and Supervisors in ensuring operational compliance and efficient control of facility usage
Take a proactive role in promoting and selling spa treatments and hotel activities
Deliver prompt, friendly, and efficient customer service at all times
Manage booking systems and membership administration to a high standard
Carry out reception and administrative duties as required
Handle customer complaints professionally, showing genuine care and resolution focus
Ensure all customer information is accurate, up to date, and communicated appropriately
Assist with life-saving responsibilities in line with NPLQ training and Emergency Action Procedures (E.A.P.)
Maintain excellent cleanliness and hygiene standards in pool and leisure areas before, during, and after operating hours
Requirements
Valid NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) or willingness to obtain
Strong understanding of health and safety practices
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Good organisational and administrative skills
A proactive and team-oriented approach

To further strengthen our team, we are particularly interested in candidates who hold a Level 2 Pool Plant Operations Qualification (or equivalent), which demonstrates the knowledge and competency required to safely manage and maintain pool plant systems.
Additional Requirement (Desirable)
Level 2 Award in Pool Plant Operations (or equivalent certification)
What This Involves
Candidates with this qualification will be expected to:
Monitor and maintain pool plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
Test and balance pool water chemistry in line with health and safety standards
Identify and report faults or irregularities within plant systems
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company procedures regarding water quality and plant safety
While this qualification is desirable, training may be provided for the right candidate who demonstrates a strong willingness to learn and develop within the role.
