Summary

Teaching Assistant
Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham
Weekly Pay: £480 - 520
Hours/Days: 8:30 - 3:45, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Start Date: 1st of September 2026
Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm

Are you a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant looking to support young learners in Key Stage 1? This inclusive primary school in Edgbaston is seeking a reliable TA to work across KS1 classrooms, supporting learning and delivering targeted interventions.

Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning across KS1 classes
- Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions in phonics, reading, and numeracy
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
- Adapt resources to meet pupils' needs
- Monitor and report on pupil progress


What We're Looking For:
- Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent)
- Experience working in a primary school, ideally KS1
- Strong understanding of phonics (e.g. Read Write Inc, Little Wandle)
- Confident supporting small groups and interventions
