About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Maths Lecturer to join a Further Education college in London.
You will deliver high-quality teaching across Maths courses, supporting students to develop essential numeracy skills and achieve their academic goals. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of learners and make a meaningful impact on their progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Maths lessons across a range of levels (e.g. Functional Skills, GCSE)
- Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum requirements
- Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback and support
- Support students with varying abilities to improve confidence and attainment in Maths
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to enhance student outcomes
- Ensure teaching meets safeguarding, equality, and quality standards
About You - Experience teaching Maths in an FE College or similar setting
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Passionate about supporting learners to achieve their full potential
Desirable: - Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
- Experience delivering GCSE and Functional Skills Maths
- Experience supporting learners with additional needs
