Summary

Full-time Registered Manager

We're looking for a Registered Experience Manager for our Children and Young People Service in services in Harrow, Middlesex.
We are an independent provider and specialise in 24 hours accommodation and support for children and young people. We pride ourselves on providing quality support care services to users of our services which also reflects in the the support that we provide to our staff team.

The Job:
Requirement for the suitable candidate: -
- Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification or a Social Work Degree/Diploma
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a senior capacity in a Children/Young People’ Home
- Good reference for Ofsted or CQC inspection etc.
- Knowledge and experience of policy development and policy implementation within social care settings
- Be “hands-on” and flexible when the operation requires and supportive and collegiate approach in terms of mentoring, coaching and developing staff.
- Confident at dealing with operational challenges as they arise, and in creating solutions, while including members of the team
- Experienced at managing teams and the desire to inspire a new team.
- Have a clean full drivers license

Main responsibilities of this role:

-To ensure staffing rotas and on-call arrangements are always adequate for the service: you will also be expected to participate in an on-call rota.

-To assist in the delivery of services and evidence service delivery standards in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

-To maintain ‘safeguarding procedure and practice within the service,
-To take a lead approach in the development of support plans

-To undertake staff management such as disciplinary hearings, performance management, sickness absence and grievances,

-Involve the people we support in decisions regarding the ethos and delivery of service, including the staffing, and the service design.

-To lead parts of the assessment and admission of new people to the service, ensuring they have a contract for their care and support and all necessary funding and tenancy documentation is in place prior to admission.

-To ensure that regular supervision meetings, annual reviews as well ongoing training and development are undertaken.

- To take part in recruitment and selection processes and carry out thorough inductions for new staff.

-To make provision for continued own professional development, including updating of knowledge around national and local initiatives.

-Ensure that incidents, complaints, accidents, and all near-misses are appropriately recorded

-To assist and contribute to the growth and development of our services
