Griffiths are looking for a Ganger to lead and support a small team of operatives on construction and civil engineering projects across Worcestershire. This is a hands‑on role, combining supervision with practical work on the ground.
What you'll be doing:
Supervising and coordinating a team of operatives
Leading daily activities and allocating tasks
Carrying out civils works such as groundworks, drainage, concreting, kerbing and paving
Making sure work is completed safely, to programme and to a high standard
Delivering toolbox talks and daily briefings
Monitoring progress and reporting issues to the Site Supervisor
Ensuring strict compliance with health & safety requirements, RAMS and site rules
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience leading small site teams
Strong knowledge of civil engineering and groundworks
Valid CSCS card
SSSTS qualification (essential)
Good understanding of health & safety and safe systems of work
Confident communicator and team leader
Reliable, safety‑focused and hands‑on approach
Desirable (but not essential):
First Aid qualification
Additional civil engineering or plant tickets
