Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nursing Home Registered Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our care home. This is a key leadership role where you will be accountable for delivering high-quality care, ensuring compliance, and promoting a positive and supportive environment for residents and staff.
Purpose of Position:
To be responsible to the Registered Provider for the day-to-day running of the home.
To be accountable for the home’s operations and activities.
To ensure the home operates according to its registration status and conditions and complies with all legal requirements.
To manage the home to achieve the best possible outcomes for its service users.
To keep service users safe and well protected at all times.
To develop, promote, and maintain high standards of care and best practice.
To act as an ambassador for the home, promoting and marketing its services to the wider community.
To ensure the home remains financially viable and sustainably managed.
To ensure that all staff are informed about and work to the Codes of Practice for social care and (where applicable) nursing professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing assistance with the Management of the day-to-day running of the home.
To participate in regular Meetings in accordance with RISCA Regulations
Ensuring high standards of care are being delivered safely in line with legislation.
Working with the Deputy Manager to develop an ethos that reflects residents’
individual needs.
Ensure all staff are working in accordance with the Codes of Professional Practice for Social Care Wales.
Participate in weekly Duty Manager Meetings to communicate the needs and movements of residents and staff in the home.
Essential Skills & Experience:
-Strong IT and clerical skills.
-Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
-Full UK driving licence.
-Willingness to undertake all required in-house training.
-Must hold or be working towards a Level 5 NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification required for registration).
-NMC Registered Nurse with active PIN.
