Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a weighbridge operator to join TATA Steel at their Shotton site in Deeside. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a global leader in steel production, securing ongoing, full-time work with excellent career potential.

Job Role:

  • Managing and operating weighbridge systems to accurately measure and record weights
  • Identifying and addressing potential issues in the weighing process
  • Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of weighbridge equipment
  • Ensuring compliance with weight regulations and industry standards
  • Collaborating with truck drivers and logistics teams to facilitate weighing processes
  • Reading and interpreting weight documentation and vehicle details
  • Measuring and recording weights of incoming and outgoing materials or goods
  • Providing clear and precise information to drivers and relevant personnel
  • Maintaining accurate records of weighbridge transactions
  • Participating in safety protocols and staying informed about weighbridge operations.
Requirements

  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.

  • Ability to follow health and safety procedures.

  • Attention to detail for accurate record keeping and data entry

  • Computer literate

  • Excellent communication skills for interracting with drivers and oother personnel
  • Ideally previous experience in a similar role
What We Offer

  • £12.71 per hour basic rate.

  • £19.07 per hour overtime rate

Working Hours

Monday - Friday: 2 shift rotational 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am with the need to cover holidays and other absence when required on 6am-2pm
