The Opportunity:

Long Term Futures are currently recruiting a Nursery Assistant to support across multiple rooms, working with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, due to planned staff absences and a live permanent vacancy within the setting. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on 8-hour rolling early and late shifts. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and early years education, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities:

Support children aged 6 weeks to 5 years across different nursery rooms
Deliver high-quality care and learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework
Promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environments for all children
Support children's personal, social, and emotional development
Work collaboratively with the nursery team to maintain consistent routines and care standards
Observe, support, and record children's progress where required
Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are always followed

Who We're Looking For:

Level 3 qualification in Early Years (not essential)
Experience working within a nursery or early years setting
Confident supporting children across multiple age ranges
A caring, reliable, and adaptable approach
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare
Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the nursery
