We're on the lookout for a full-time Learning Support Assistant to join welcoming secondary schools in Barking. If you're calm, caring, and great at building relationships with young people, this could be right up your street.
- Supporting students in class, helping them stay focused, engaged, and confident in their learning
- Working 1:1 or in small groups, particularly with pupils who need a little extra support
- Assisting students with SEND needs such as autism, ADHD, or SEMH
- Helping to break down tasks so learning feels manageable and achievable
- Building positive relationships, you'll be a familiar, trusted face in the classroom
- Supporting behaviour in a calm, consistent way that keeps lessons on track
- Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to support individual learning plans
- Experience working with young people, in schools or similar settings
- A patient, empathetic approach, you get that every student is different
- Confidence supporting behaviour and staying calm under pressure
- A genuine interest in supporting students with additional needs
- A team player who's happy to roll up their sleeves and get involved

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
