Due to ongoing business growth, we are looking for a dedicated Retail Manager to lead store operations, drive sales performance, and ensure an outstanding shopping experience for our customers.


Role Overview

The Retail Manager will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the store, ensuring smooth operations, strong sales performance, and excellent customer service. The role requires leadership skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage a fast-paced retail environment effectively.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations to ensure efficiency and high standards.
• Lead, manage, and motivate store staff to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to maximise revenue and profitability.
• Ensure the store is fully stocked, well-presented, and compliant with merchandising standards.
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
• Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, licensing laws, and health & safety regulations.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the Purchasing Manager for timely replenishment.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, cash handling, and store operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve store performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A qualification in Business Management, Retail Management, or a related field is desirable.
• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications are preferred.


Experience Required

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail management or supervisory role.
• Experience in a convenience store or off-licence environment is desirable.
• Proven experience in managing staff and achieving sales targets.


Salary Package

£30,000 – £36,000 per annum depending on experience.
