About the Role
Thurrock Council is seeking a proactive and organised Admin Assistant to support the Family Hubs Start for Life service. Based at Stifford Family Hub, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day‑to‑day operations, supporting staff, families and partner agencies.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a busy, community‑focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
Provide general administrative support to the Family Hubs team.

Manage incoming enquiries, phone calls and emails, ensuring timely and professional responses.

Maintain accurate records, databases and filing systems.

Support the coordination of meetings, appointments and family‑facing activities.

Assist with preparing documents, reports and correspondence.

Welcome visitors to the hub and provide front‑of‑house support when required.

Work collaboratively with colleagues across Children’s Services and external partners.

Ensure confidentiality, data protection and safeguarding standards are upheld at all times.

About You
You will bring:

Strong administrative experience in a busy office or public‑facing environment.

Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines and work independently.

A friendly, professional approach and commitment to supporting children, families and community services.
