Summary

I.C.T Technician – Full-time, long-term temporary role from April 2026 until the end of the academic year (37 hours per week)

Duties as I.C.T Technician:

• Provide first‑ and second‑line technical support to staff and pupils
• Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network systems
• Support classroom technology, including interactive screens and devices
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights
• Assist with the setup, maintenance, and inventory of ICT equipment
• Respond promptly to technical issues and service requests
• Support data security, safeguarding, and acceptable use policies
• Liaise with external providers where required
• Contribute to the smooth day‑to‑day operation of school ICT systems

Ideal I.C.T Technician:

• Previous experience in an ICT support or technician role
• Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and common applications
• Basic understanding of networks, hardware, and troubleshooting
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non‑technical users
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
• Reliable and professional with a strong attention to detail
• Committed to safeguarding and maintaining data security
• Willing to support staff and pupils in a busy school environment
