Summary
About the role
Working with our NHS colleagues and Solent Mind to provide Peer Support working within local communities to enhance mental health care at both Primary and Secondary level.
You will work with people in one to one and group settings, including managing your own caseload of service users, to support their recovery and help them access the support they need.
You will support people to develop and use a range of skills and techniques to help their wellbeing through short-term goal focused support and enable service users to take control of their own recovery.
About you
You must have your own mental health lived experience to be able to support service users in their recovery journey. You will need to demonstrate a resilient approach to dealing with changing priorities and emotionally challenging situations.
You need knowledge of mental health services, and wider related groups and organisations.
You will have time management, and team working skills as well as intermediate computer skills.
