About the Role
Torfaen Council is seeking a Regeneration Project Officer to support the delivery of town centre regeneration across Cwmbran, Blaenavon and Pontypool. The role focuses on developing new project ideas, securing funding, managing grant processes, and supporting in‑house regeneration schemes such as The British, Talywain.

Key Responsibilities
Develop new regeneration project ideas and identify funding/partnership opportunities.

Manage the grant management software platform for property enhancement grants.

Maintain the town centre empty property database.

Support consultants delivering regeneration projects.

Build strong relationships with funding bodies and stakeholders.

About You
Essential experience & skills include:

3+ years’ project or programme management experience.

Strong knowledge of project management methods and externally funded project processes.

Excellent communication, influencing and partnership‑working skills.

Ability to analyse and communicate complex technical/financial information.

Highly organised, detail‑focused and able to manage competing deadlines.

Confident liaising with external bodies, the public, Local Members and Town/Community Councils.

Desirable: Welsh language skills; ability to travel as required.
