Class 1 Tipper Driver
£15.00 per hour + Daily Bonus (£18.68 estimated hourly rate)
Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting Class 1 (C+E) Tipper Drivers for a large, well-established client operating within the aggregates and construction industry.
Please note: This role does not guarantee full-time hours. Shifts are offered based on business requirements and workload demand.
The Role
As a Class 1 Tipper Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of aggregates and materials to construction sites and depots.
Key duties include:
Operating Class 1 tipper vehicles
Delivering and collecting aggregates to and from sites
Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
Adhering to road traffic laws and site health & safety procedures
Accurately completing all required paperwork
Working Hours & Shift Availability
Primarily Monday to Friday
Early starts are typical
Standard shift length: 8.75 hours
Shifts are offered subject to business needs and are not guaranteed each week
Drivers must attend all booked shifts in a week to qualify for the bonus
Pay & Bonus Structure
Flat rate: £15.00 per hour
Daily bonus: £35.00 per day
Payable provided the driver:
Attends all booked shifts offered that week
Works the full 8.75 hours per shift
Estimated hourly rate:£18.68 per hour (including bonus, when criteria are met)
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
Hold a valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
Have a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
Have no more than 6 points on your licence
Have no DD, DR, or IN endorsements
Previous tipper or construction site experience is preferred but not essential
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
Reliable, punctual, and flexible with availability
Safety-conscious with a good understanding of site rules
Able to communicate effectively with transport teams and site staff
Comfortable working in a construction environment
Training & Induction
Full site induction and health & safety training provided
PPE requirements will be confirmed prior to starting
