We’re seeking a Housing Development Manager to lead our affordable housing programme, managing a skilled development team and taking projects from opportunity through to delivery. You’ll work at a strategic level, influence key stakeholders, and play a critical role in shaping the future of housing across the district.

️ What You’ll Do
Become the go‑to person for new housing development opportunities — yes, you’ll be popular.
Lead a programme of exciting projects, from council-led to housing company developments.
Drive forward new affordable housing solutions like the strategic genius you are.
Keep our programmes running smoothly with accurate data, reporting, and a keen eye for detail.
Decode government policy changes (superpowers not required, but appreciated).
Manage and motivate a talented development team who’ll be thrilled to have you at the helm.
What You Bring
You’re experienced, confident, collaborative — and not easily scared by words like “complex” or “multi-stakeholder environment.”
You also bring:
A background in housing development, public sector work, or similar roles
Excellent communication and influencing skills
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
A degree-level qualification (cape optional)

This role requires current full driving license effective in the UK and use of a motor vehicle for business use.
