Summary

The Business Development Managers role is a pivotal role in strengthening ACTs financial sustainability. The primary focus of the role is to increase income and enhance community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

The postholder will lead on developing and delivering income-generating activities, building partnerships, and supporting strategic planning to ensure ACT becomes a more resilient and self-sustaining organisation:

  • Increase income generation from Trading, Events, Donations and Philanthropic giving- with an aim to reduce grant dependency.

  • Increase visibility and engagement of the community through social media campaigns and newsletters. To help increase and support ACT membership and volunteer group.

  • Represent the organisation at networking events, conferences, and meetings to raise our profile and open new doors.

  • Identify, research, and pursue new funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, corporates, and statutory bodies. Building relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, and partner organisations.

  • Manage small projects with board support.

  • Meet key targets.

Reporting & Relationships

  • Reports to: Chair of ACT

  • Works closely with: ACT Board and Operations Manager. On a project basis with volunteers, community stakeholders, and external partners.
