Key Responsibilities

  • Lead & Motivate: Direct and support your team to exceed KPIs across Safety, Quality, Output, and Cost.
  • Frontline Leadership: Balance active production work with essential management duties.
  • Operational Excellence: Conduct daily shift briefings, manage labour resources, and ensure all equipment is "production-ready" via pre-start checks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvements.
  • Compliance: Maintain uncompromising Health & Safety and Quality standards in line with company policies.
  • Ownership: Identify performance bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to ensure seamless production flow.

What You’ll Bring

The Essentials:

  • Proven Leadership: Experience in a hands -on Supervisory or Team Leader role within a manufacturing environment.
  • People Management: A natural ability to manage performance, develop talent, and influence a positive team culture.
  • Safety First: In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety protocols and Quality Management Systems.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience using ERP/Production Management systems.
  • Technical Literacy: Confidence working with automated control systems and understanding their role in production.

The "Nice to Haves":

  • Experience in Casting, Engineering, or Ceramics manufacturing.
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement tools.

Why Apply?

  • Work-Life Balance: Rare 6 am – 2 pm fixed shift pattern with no weekend work.
  • Stability: A permanent role within a growing, precision-driven manufacturing business.
  • Development: A supportive environment where proactive leadership and process improvements are highly valued.
