Summary
This is a new position that would suit a medical oncologist with a significant interest in early cancer diagnosis working primarily at The Royal Marsden but in close collaboration with ICR and research partners in the AHSC.
The post-holder would focus on early detection research in Sarcoma (with an opportunity to develop research that crosses into other departments, notably genetics). They would also be involved in research in secondary prevention and early detection of recurrent cancers or second primary cancers.
The post-holder will work closely with the Consultant Respiratory Physician with an Interest in Early Cancer Diagnosis, and BRC Early Diagnosis and Detection Centre leads, and together would serve as champions for early detection research and innovation more broadly within the RM/ICR BRC. They would work in close collaboration with Imperial researchers interested in this field through under the AHSC umbrella and with other BRCs with cancer research themes. They will report and be accountable to the Director of Clinical Research and the Medical Director.
