Overview
A private household in South Oxfordshire is seeking an experienced Housekeeper Nanny to support the smooth running of the home. This is a long-term, full-time role with a strong emphasis on housekeeping, alongside shared-care support for young children.
The role requires someone discreet, proactive, and someone comfortable working in a busy household environment.
While the role will initially include a balance of housekeeping and childcare, it will transition over time into a predominantly housekeeping-focused position as the household's needs evolve.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping (primary focus):
• Full cleaning of the home to a high standard
• Laundry and ironing
• Maintaining organisation and overall household order
• Regular deep cleaning as required
• Kitchen upkeep as a priority area
• General tidying and upkeep throughout the day
Household Support:
• Basic food preparation (e.g. washing and chopping vegetables)
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household
Childcare (shared care):
• Supporting with the day-to-day care of young children
• Preparing simple meals and snacks
• Keeping children’s areas clean and organised
• Engaging with the children when required
• Assisting parents during busy periods
Requirements
• Proven experience in a similar Housekeeper Nanny role within a private household
• Strong housekeeping skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confident in supporting young children, with mostly shared care, but occasional sole charge.
• Discreet, trustworthy, and professional
• Able to work independently and use initiative
• Driver with own car
• First Aid certification and Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
