We are seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Security Officer to join our team in a permanent, full-time role.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of the site, maintaining a secure yet welcoming environment for all visitors, staff, and guests.

Core responsibilities will include conducting regular internal and external patrols, monitoring the premises to prevent and deter unauthorised access, and ensuring that all areas remain secure at all times.

The Security Officer will be responsible for locking and unlocking designated areas in accordance with site procedures, as well as carrying out routine checks of doors, windows, alarms, and other security systems.

The role will also involve monitoring CCTV systems (where applicable), maintaining accurate records of patrols and incidents, and promptly reporting any faults, hazards, or suspicious activity.

In the event of an incident, the Security Officer must respond in a calm and professional manner, following established procedures for escalation, emergency response, and incident management.

Health and safety is a key aspect of the role. The successful candidate will be expected to identify and report potential risks, support compliance with site safety procedures, and assist with emergency situations such as fire alarms, evacuations, or first aid incidents when required.

In addition to core security duties, the role requires a strong customer service focus. The Security Officer will act as a first point of contact for visitors and pilgrims, providing a courteous and helpful presence at all times. This includes offering basic assistance such as directing individuals to their allocated rooms, indicating where pre-prepared bedding is stored, and helping guests familiarise themselves with the layout of the premises.

The position requires a high level of professionalism and discretion, with strict adherence to site-specific protocols, including respecting restricted areas which are not accessible as part of this role.

The role operates on a structured rota covering both day and night shifts, including weekends. Flexibility and reliability are essential to ensure consistent security coverage across all required hours.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:
• Applicants must be aged 18+ with a valid SIA License.
• Essential – SIA Licence and First Aid Certificate.
• Desirable – DS SIA Licence, CCTV
• Must have a 5-year checkable work or back to school history.
• Proof of right to work and live in the UK.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong sense of integrity, reliability, and respect for others.

Given the nature of the environment, it is essential that the Security Officer conducts themselves with a calm, courteous, and professional manner at all times.

Key personal attributes include:
• A polite and approachable demeanour, with the ability to interact respectfully with a diverse range of visitors
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• High levels of vigilance and attention to detail
• The ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
• A proactive and responsible attitude towards safety and security
• Discretion and respect for privacy and sensitive environments
• A willingness to assist others, offering guidance and support where appropriate

The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining a secure yet welcoming atmosphere, balancing security responsibilities with a helpful and service-oriented approach.

This vacancy is immediate start subject to 5-year vetting; interviews will be scheduled at the earliest at our Hounslow Head Office.
