Shivkrupa (Leicester) LTD is a well-established retail convenience business operating since December 2017. We provide a wide range of essential products and services, including parcel collection and drop-off services, National Lottery, PayPoint services, and off-licence retail.
Serving approximately 200–300 customers daily, our business continues to grow with plans to expand operations, increase product ranges, and introduce a Post Office service in the near future.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and commercially aware Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations and ensure consistent availability of stock across all product categories.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting business growth by managing supplier relationships, controlling costs, and maintaining optimal inventory levels in a fast-paced retail environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Duties
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies for regulated goods, groceries, household items, and operational supplies.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and supply continuity with wholesalers and specialist suppliers.
• Maintain a diverse supplier network to ensure uninterrupted stock availability.
• Analyse sales data, seasonal trends, and stadium event schedules to forecast demand.
• Plan stock levels for match days and large events with significant footfall increases.
• Oversee stock rotation, reduce wastage, and ensure compliance for age-restricted and perishable goods.
• Manage inventory requirements for parcel hub operations (UPS, DHL, Amazon) and services such as PayPoint, Payzone, and National Lottery.
• Coordinate purchasing to support extended hours and high-volume periods linked to stadium events and online delivery platforms.
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws, tobacco regulations, and health & safety standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits related to alcohol licensing, tobacco tracking, and financial service partners.
• Monitor purchasing budgets, analyse cost variances, and implement cost efficiency measures.
• Produce reports on supplier performance, stock turnover, and procurement effectiveness.
• Use digital inventory systems and supplier platforms to streamline ordering and track stock movement.
• Integrate purchasing workflows with digital storefronts to maintain real-time product availability.
SALARY RANGE: GBP £38000 to £55000 or depending upon experience
LOCATION: 44-46 Burghley Drive, Corby, NN18 8EB.
JOB TYPE: Full-time, permanent. 37.5 hours per week.
