Summary
General Assistant - Bristol
At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for General Assistant to work with a leading company in Food manufacturing. You will be working for the client in Bristol.
Shift Patterns:
- You will work on a 5 days on, 3 days off schedule - usually 06:30-16:00 (Flexibility may be required during busy periods.
Pay Rates:
- 12.71 GBP hourly
- Overtime is £19.06 paid after 40 hours in a week
As a General Assistant you will need to have:
- You must provide a full 5-year work, and/or education and address history.
- If you lived outside the UK for over 6 months, an overseas criminal record check will be required.
- A Basic DBS check is mandatory for airside clearance (we will support you in obtain this), and you must have no unspent or suspended convictions that prevent clearance.
- You must hold long-term UK work rights (British passport, ILR or Settled Status).
- An HMRC employment letter is required.
- You must live within 40 minutes of site for early shifts including weekends.
As General Assistant, it would be desirable to have:
- Previous experience in a similar fast-moving, trolley-based or temperature-controlled environment is preferred but not essential.
- Experience working within a diverse, multi-cultural team is an advantage.
- A Food Safety Level 2 certificate is desirable; however, training can be provided if required.
Role of a General Assistant:
- Perform general duties within a food manufacturing setting.
- Assist with production line tasks as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the work area.
- Support team members to ensure efficient operations.
