Riverbank and Meadow Lodge
Riverbank is a day opportunity service providing support to adults with learning disabilities, five days a week throughout the year. We work closely with customers to identify their goals and support them in a wide range of activities within the service and in the local community.
Meadow Lodge is a respite service offering short breaks to adults with learning disabilities. We help customers take part in meaningful activities that build confidence and independence, while also working closely with families and carers to ensure they feel supported and listened to.
What you will do
As a casual relief bank support worker, you will help customers to live with dignity, choice and independence across both Riverbank and Meadow Lodge.
Support customers with personal care and daily living tasks
Help plan and take part in meaningful activities
Provide emotional and practical support when needed
Assist with household tasks and basic financial responsibilities
Work flexibly across day and respite services, including evenings, weekends, sleep‑ins and waking nights
Support customers in their homes or within the service settings
You will be part of a supportive service where your work makes a real difference every day. We offer flexible working, ongoing training and development, and the chance to help people build confidence, skills and independence.
As a casual worker, you will have no fixed hours and will work on an as-needed basis, depending on Wiltshire Council's requirements and your availability. You are not obligated to be available, and the council is not obliged to offer you work.

Able to communicate clearly and work well with others
Calm under pressure and able to make sensible decisions
Physically able to carry out all aspects of the role
Willing to learn and develop, including completing required training
No specific qualifications needed if you have relevant skills or experience
Proud member of the Disability Confident employer scheme
