Summary
Job Title: Nurse Colposcopist Trainee
Band: Developmental Band 6 to Band 7 upon British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) accreditation in Colposcopy Diagnostics and Treatment
The Trainee - Initially working under direct then indirect supervision whilst training. On qualification and accreditation achievement (12 to 18mths) towork as an autonomous practitioner independently managing a caseload of patients undergoing Colposcopy care providing diagnostic and treatment services
The Nurse Colposcopist will effectively co-ordinate and deliver an expert nursing service within the Colposcopy Department. Will work as an autonomous practitioner independently managing a caseload of patients undergoing Colposcopy care providing diagnostic and treatment services whilst also integrating and working well in the team.
The Nurse Colposcopist will influence patient care through clinical practice, leadership, education, research, audit, and will take part in the collection of Colposcopy data and NHSE&I/ Dept. of Health returns (KC65).
