The department is seeking to appoint a Trust Junior Clinical Fellow (SHO) as part of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Rota starting as soon as possible . Experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or equivalent is desirable.
Please note - this fixed term contract end date is 4th August 2026.
The role involves routine ward management, both Obstetric and Gynaecology outpatient attendance with consultant and registrar supervision. On call duties for the labour ward, early pregnancy assessment unit and A+E. A full shift system is in operation, and rotates through obstetrics, gynaecology with set of 4 nights and 3 weekend nights.
The Trust Officer will be expected to become entirely proficient in the management of all normal pregnancies and their delivery, and receive supervised training in abnormal obstetrics and gynaecology. There are opportunities to develop skills and competencies to those of registrar level under supervision if required.
The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
