We are seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to join our team in providing essential support to young individuals. Based in the Erdington area, this role is vital in helping us deliver our mission of nurturing independence and well-being for young people in our care.
Rota is working 4 nights on and then 4 nights off
Responsibilities
Support young people during waking night hours, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Assist with daily routines, including emotional support.
Follow support plans tailored to individual needs.
Maintain accurate records of activities and incidents.
Communicate effectively with team members, young people, and external agencies.
Promote a positive environment that encourages independence.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Participate in team meetings and ongoing training to enhance service quality.
Qualifications
Experience working with children or young people is highly desirable.
Knowledge of childcare practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in IT for record keeping and communication.
Compassionate attitude with a strong commitment to safeguarding.
Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining vigilance.
Previous experience in a similar support role is advantageous.
