Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial and residential premises. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and experience in cleaning services to contribute to a safe and welcoming environment. The position is self employed but with potential to move to an employed position in the future.
This position will involve travelling to different jobs throughout York and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces
Travelling to clients properties for regular general cleaning
Residential and commercial cleaning
Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and other communal areas
Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure it is in good working order
Follow health and safety procedures at all times
Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
Adhere to specified cleaning schedules and standards of cleanliness
Deep cleans
End of tenancy cleans
Air BnB cleans and change overs
Must be confident attending clients properties alone
The selected applicant will be assigned a cleaning round which will grow increasing available hours.
Must be able to work using own initiative with remote management.
Qualifications
Previous experience in commercial and residential cleaning services is preferred
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of hygiene
Ability to work independently and efficiently within designated timeframes
Good organisational skills and reliability
Flexibility to work various shifts as required
Driving licence and own vehicle is essential - mileage will be paid.
This role is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in creating clean, safe environments. Applicants should demonstrate a professional attitude, be punctual, and possess the necessary experience to deliver quality cleaning services.
This role is a zero hour vacancy where minimum hours are not guaranteed however for the right candidate and as demand increases possible part / full time hours will be available.
