The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating curtainside lorries to deliver goods across various locations. Duties
Safely operate Class 1 HGV lorries, specialising in curtainside transportation.
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, adhering to schedules and deadlines.
Secure loads properly on flatbeds to prevent movement during transit.
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including delivery notes and logs.
Assist with loading and unloading goods when required, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues.
Comply with all road safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Experience
Proven experience in commercial driving, specifically with curtainside vehicles.
Prior delivery driver experience is highly desirable.
Valid Class 1 HGV licence is essential.
Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK.
Experience in handling and securing cargo on flatbeds is advantageous.
