Summary
Minihome Kitchen assistant and cleaning / laundry tasks
Salary: £14.80 per hour 25 hour week 09:00-14:00 Monday - Friday
The kitchen is a team of 2, you and our Cook. We cater for up to 48 children each day.
Your time will be divided between kitchen based tasks including food preparation, washing up and kitchen cleaning as well as general housekeeping in the nursery, including cleaning and laundry tasks.
You will be provided with food safety training and allergy awareness training.
You will follow a daily routine of tasks but will be expected to work flexibly.
If you are interested and show aptitude you will be trained to prepare the meals in the absence of the cook.
About you
· Previous experience working in a kitchen.
· Tidy team worker who is energetic and committed to see tasks through.
· Able to carry out tasks as directed by the cook or manager, also able to work using own initiative.
· You will need be able to think fast, write to a good standard of legible English in order to keep accurate records for the kitchen.
· You need to be physically able to stand for long periods, carry out cleaning and laundry that includes bending and kneeling and lifting.
· Positive, calm and kind, understanding of the needs of children, parents and other team members.
· You will be thoughtful, able to self regulate, reflective and able to take a positive approach to problem solving and look for solutions.
